Top energy and regulatory advisor joins McCarthy Tétrault’s Business Law Group
We’re excited to welcome Ljuba Djurdjevic as Counsel in our Business Law Group, based in Toronto. Ljuba’s practice focuses on energy, regulatory and public sector law, with a particular emphasis on helping clients navigate complex regulatory frameworks and advance their strategic energy initiatives.
A versatile, hands-on advisor, Ljuba brings more than 25 years of direct energy and regulated industry experience, having most recently served as senior counsel at the Ontario Energy Board and previously as in-house litigation counsel at some of Canada’s largest electricity transmission and distribution companies.
Ljuba has advised extensively on Ontario electricity market issues, including the IESO Market Renewal Program and IESO Market Rules. She has acted as Ontario Energy Board counsel on major cases involving challenges by market participants, and appeared in proceedings related to rate cases, construction and infrastructure, and market design.
