The King’s Counsel designation is a provincial honour that recognizes lawyers whose work strengthens the administration, accessibility and reputation of the legal system. At any time, no more than 7% of practising B.C. lawyers may hold this designation.
Nominees are rigorously evaluated by a panel of members of the judiciary, senior representatives of the Ministry of Justice and Solicitor General, and peers from the legal community. The assessment considers leadership within the profession, legal proficiency, ethical conduct, contributions to the administration of justice, community involvement, and a demonstrated commitment to advancing equality.
Jill is a leading trial lawyer and versatile litigator who handles high‑stakes and complex commercial disputes, including class actions. She serves as Regional Managing Partner for British Columbia, Chair of the National Class Actions Group and a partner in our Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group in Vancouver.
