On August 12, 2025, Ovivo Inc. announced they have entered into a definitive agreement to sell its electronics division to Ecolab for approximately C$2.4 billion. The deal is anticipated to be finalized in the first quarter of 2026.

Ovivo Inc., headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, is a global provider of equipment, technology and systems producing among the purest water and treating some of the most challenging wastewater in the industry. Ovivo Inc. is owned by German SKion Water GmbH, a global technology and solution provider as well as plant manufacturer, in both municipal and industrial water and wastewater technology. 

Ecolab, headquartered in Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA, is a is a global leader in sustainability, providing solutions and services in water treatment, hygiene, and infection prevention.
